Sunset cruises in Los Cabos: what you actually get for the money

A sunset cruise in Los Cabos costs $45–$110 per person for roughly two hours, leaving from Cabo San Lucas marina and running past the Arch and Lover's Beach before turning into the Pacific for sunset. The cheap end is a large catamaran with an open bar; the top end is a small sailing yacht with a real dinner.

November–April for calm water

Every sunset cruise in Cabo San Lucas follows more or less the same route, because there is only one: out of the marina, past Pelican Rock, around Land's End, a slow pass at the Arch and Lover's Beach, then west into open Pacific water for the sunset itself.

What varies is the boat and the headcount. A 100-guest catamaran with an unlimited domestic bar will cost you around $50. A 30-guest sailing catamaran with table service and a plated meal runs $90–$110. A private charter starts around $600 for the boat.

Winter water is calmer. From July to September the afternoon swell can make the Pacific leg genuinely uncomfortable, which is why some operators shorten the route without saying so.

Sunset cruises in Los Cabos: common questions

How much is a sunset cruise in Cabo San Lucas?

$45–$110 per person. Large open-bar catamarans sit at the bottom of that range, small sailing catamarans with dinner at the top. Private charters start around $600 for the boat rather than per person.

Do sunset cruises go to the Arch?

Almost all of them pass the Arch and Lover's Beach on the way out of the marina. They do not stop or let you off — that requires a separate water taxi or a dedicated Arch tour.
