Itinerary
The 4-day adults-only Los Cabos itinerary
Four adult days in Los Cabos split cleanly: two on the water, one eating, one on the desert. Base in Cabo San Lucas for walkability, budget $800–$1,700 per person excluding flights and accommodation, and if there are eight of you, charter a boat rather than buying eight tour tickets.

Base and geography
Cabo San Lucas is the right base for an adult group: the marina, the bar strip and Medano Beach are all walkable, and every boat leaves from here.
Pedregal is the alternative if the group is large enough for a villa — five minutes above the marina with the best views in the region.
Day 1: Arrive and eat
Transfer, then dinner in town.
· SJD airport
Transfer to Cabo San Lucas
Forty-five minutes. Pre-booked, priced per vehicle.
$75–$120 per vehicle
· Cabo San Lucas
Dinner off the marina
The better restaurants are a few blocks inland from the boulevard, not on it.
$45–$85 per person
Day 2: The full boat day
Charter if there are enough of you; a small-group sail if not.
· Cabo San Lucas marina
Private charter or sailing catamaran
Land's End, then north to Santa María for a snorkel stop. Charter gratuity is 15–20% of the boat price and is not included.
$90–$160 pp, or $1,200–$1,900 per boat
· Medano Beach
Sunset from the sand
Cheaper than a sunset cruise and the same sunset.
$15–$35 per person
Day 3: Desert, then the food day
ATV in the morning, San José in the evening.
· Migriño
ATV or UTV
First departure of the day. By 11am the dust never settles and the beach section gets cut.
$85–$160 per person
· San José del Cabo
Food tour or self-guided crawl
The historic district, six stops, chef-owned kitchens. Better value than the Cabo San Lucas equivalent.
$75–$150 per person
Day 4: Water, then out
One last morning in the sea.
· The Corridor
Chileno Bay or a whale trip
Between 15 December and 15 April, take the whale tour instead. Small boat, not catamaran.
Free, or $50–$95 per person
Frequently asked questions
Is chartering a boat cheaper than a group tour in Cabo?
Above roughly eight people, often yes. A 45-foot half-day charter at $1,200–$1,900 compares directly to eight to twelve tickets on a $110 group sailing tour, and you get the boat to yourselves.
