Scuba diving in Los Cabos: sites, seasons and what a two-tank day costs
A two-tank dive in Los Cabos costs $130–$220 including gear, and the marquee sites are Cabo Pulmo — a 20,000-year-old hard coral reef about two hours northeast — and the sand falls and pinnacles at Land's End. Visibility and water temperature are both best from August to November.

Diving in Los Cabos splits into two experiences. Land's End, five minutes from the marina, has the sand falls Jacques Cousteau documented, Pelican Rock, and Neptune's Finger — convenient, shallow, and good rather than great.
Cabo Pulmo, roughly two hours northeast on the East Cape, is a different proposition entirely. It is a national marine park protecting the only hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez, and after the local fishing community petitioned to close it in 1995 the fish biomass recovered by an order of magnitude.
Water is warmest and clearest from August to November. Winter diving is perfectly good but you want a 5mm suit at 72°F.
Best based in The East Cape. Season: Year-round; best August–November.
